Dicky Cheung is most well-known in his role as the Monkey King in Journey of the West. He was so well-loved in the series that some didn't like the change of the Monkey King played by Benny Chan in the sequel. I liked both actually. tongue.gif I also loved his songs especially the ones featured in Journey to the West.

ye, I also didn't liked that benny chan took his role lol... (nothing against benny chan) but I think Dicky cheung is really amusing in his movies.... he's always so dry when making jokes which makes it funny lol.... I really liked the Duke of Mount Deer, one of my favorite series ever....

dicky is the best in playing these sharp witted characters, like sun wu kong and i also liked his extremely fitting character as Xiao Yuer in "Handsome Siblings"

Funny guy, but I wouldn't say he's an extremely good actor, I actually find his acting/character he plays is almost all the same in almost every series I see him in, plus I really get irritated of his head movement.

yeah i know, he is really funny. i like the him in the first part journey to the west, and i think he should be the monkey in the second part instead of that guy. he wasn't as good as dicky.

the man!!!
i wouldn't mind seeing him in other shows but i only understand english and alot of them show i'm sure don't have english subs 058e8b09.gif

(oh why are Chinese tv show makers so mean and hate me so like TVB i heard when they was going to sell there show a few years ago on dvds but you had to live in China to buy them 11795816820.gif
that not even to say they won't sell english subs with them 11791667870.gif )

but i love dicky he's so cool i love his music even tho i have no clue what he's saying.lol
i found about 20 to 30 songs of his so far and it wasn't easy 6184ceba.gif

Dicky is such a funny actor, I loved his Duke of Mount Deer 2000 series the most! his comedic skills really impressed me!

I only know Dicky from Journey to the west (1996) ^^. He playes different from the one of the old series. But quiet funny, and I love his "head movemend" as someone said here ^^. It's matching (and catching oO soon I will pull my tounge out at customers at work ^^wink.gif.
I can't tell if he is a good actor but as Wu Kong he is great!!! (although I like the old series better I watch this only because of Dicky now ^^) AND I love his music. The best for me is th eopening to Quest for the sutras ^^.

i want to see them all as well;)

and alot of ppl hated Quest for the sutra but it was my 1st monkey king show and before i read the book.
so i really loved it but after i read the book i must say they did mess it up.lol
and i can see why ppl hated it but i still like it you just have to enjoy things for what they are

I must say I only like Dicky from Journey to the west. I don't like the way he talks and overacts way too much. He's also really jumpy, and thats why I like him as the monkey and nothing else.
