Tiffany Hsu over Ethan Ruan's hotel incident: I Believe You

Posted By:  Ševiou§ @ Mar 8 2010, 12:32 AM

Ethan Ruan has always had a healthy image, but yesterday, news revealed that on the 28th of last month, he took another girl to a hotel room at Taichung for 7 hours. The news took everyone by surprise, but the one who was most in shocked was his girlfriend, Tiffany Hsu. Yesterday, she attended her filming sessions as scheduled and completed some scenes at a restaurant in the Xinyi district. When she left, she was surrounded by the media and she shyly said, “I believe him,” then rushed into the car to return home. Later, Ethan, accompanied by his assistant, took out his keys and entered their home. It was the first time they met again after the scandal broke out.

Ethan explained to the media that he and the girl was “in the same room but not on the same bed,” and which his “friend arrived a little later to meet up with them.” Although the explanation still seems suspicious, Tiffany has chosen to believe in her boyfriend, “I give my full trust in my relationship. I believe everything that my boyfriend says.” When asked if Ethan had cried due to the news, Tiffany thought about it for moment and replied, “Crying is not the main point. He should know what he needs to do.”

Tiffany was very calm over the news. There were rumors that Ethan wants to fulfill his lifetime promise to her (get married), but she expressed, “I don’t need that. He just needs to be clear of what he needs to do from now on.” Tiffany, being careful, spoke honestly, “Every man I date, I always keep marriage in mind. Getting married is the goal, but we currently put our work in first place, so we don’t have plans to get married soon.”

As for rumors about Van Ness Wu having good feelings toward her, she playfully said, “If he is really going to pursue me, I will consider it.” Then she added, “Many men give up on pursuing me because once I’m in love with someone already, I won’t give others a chance.”

Regarding his girlfriend being understanding and trusting in him, Ethan felt even more regret, but he sincerely admitted, “I’ve done something that is truly very wrong,” and added, “We didn’t fight, but the fact that I don’t go home at night is very not okay.” When asked if they are going to establish some “rules,” he responded, “We are already grownups. There is no need for rules. We should know what to do.” As for the public’s suspicion, he explained, “We weren’t alone in the same room. Her boyfriend came shortly after. What other people think is not important. What’s important is Tiffany.” When asked how he is going to mend their relationship, he answered, “I don’t know yet, but she is my everything. I will do the best I can.”

Jacky Cheung learns to use the internet from his daughter so he can promote his songs on-line

Posted By:  Ševiou§ @ Mar 8 2010, 12:28 AM

Yesterday, Jacky Cheung attended a charity cookie selling event as the ambassador for the Helping Hand organization. During the event, he indicated that recently, his focus has been on promoting his new album. As for the recent ‘shakeups’ at ATV that have even resulted in a legal battle, Jacky says that he is aware of the situation, but feels that since it is an internal matter at ATV, he does not have the right to comment on it and also that there is nothing to worry about. (Are you worried that in addition to not being able to ‘appear’ on TVB, now you won’t be able to go on ATV either?) Jacky replied: “If there are problems at ATV and I am not able to go on anymore, I can always go on i-cable or other radio stations, so I’m not worried!” Asked whether he would consider arranging his own album-promoting events instead of relying on the various TV and radio stations, Jacky was in agreement and confirmed that he will be holding a ‘mini-concert’ in the near future. With regard to artists nowadays utilizing the internet to interact with their fans, Jacky said: “My knowledge of computers is very poor, however I do believe that soon I will probably need to rely on the internet to promote my songs, so I will need to ask my daughter to help me enhance my computer and internet knowledge.”

Regarding recent news about popular karaoke company Neway buying out California Red and its possible negative effect on the Big 4 record companies (which all have ‘so-so’ relationships with Neway), Jacky commented: “I haven’t heard about it…even if there was a buyout, I’m pretty sure it was a business move. In general, the relationship between record companies and karaoke companies is usually a mutually beneficial one, so they probably won’t stop doing business with each other just because they don’t get along….plus I haven’t heard about [Big 4] and [Neway] having a bad relationship.”

In addition, there were rumors that Kay Tse had secretly committed to being a guest performer on ATV’s <<Asia Million Star 2>>, however after the news leaked to the media, she reneged last minute, citing ‘illness’. When asked about this, Jacky replied that he believes Kay is truly sick and can’t sing, so that’s probably why she declined.

Jay Chou turns into spider man for MV

Posted By:  Ševiou§ @ Mar 8 2010, 12:25 AM

Jay Chou has been riddled with "matters from the past", for the time being he's put that aside and throwing himself into preparing his new album, on the 3rd he was discovered filming MV scenes at a certain toy store, he was wearing a tight spider costume and dancing with black masked colleagues, it looked like a friendly encounter between "spider man" and "The Green Hornet", it was pretty interesting.

People online posted the original post from the toy store boss online "Today Jay Chou came to the store to film an MV, he was the MV director, also Jay Chou was in the shot", in the post it states that on the day staff suddenly came to the store to ask if they could borrow it to film an MV, as soon as they found out that the director was Jay Chou and that he would be coming to the set, it was like a gift from above, the boss lent out the store without hesitation, he also praised Jay Chou for being so good natured privately.

To this Jay Chou's JVR Music yesterday said: "Because this isn't a public work schedule, we can't reveal information about it." But from reports he was indeed filming scenes for a new song's MV, from the scenes it is cute scherzo style song. It has been a year and a bit since his last album, his new album is estimated for release in April, in June he is going to hold a concert at the Taipei Arena, then he will begin his world tour, this year he is returning to music.

Gillian Chung Announces Twins' Concerts

Posted By:  Ševiou§ @ Mar 8 2010, 12:23 AM

Hong Kong actress-singer Gillian Chung has announced she will reunite with her former bandmate Charlene Choi for two concerts next month.

The concerts were supposed to be held two years ago, according to Choi. They were canceled after Chung was involved in a nasty sex photo scandal with Canadian-Chinese entertainer Edison Chen.

Chung acknowledged she had been through a difficult time. "We've changed a lot. We were separated for a long time. We dealt with very different situations."

Choi echoed the sentiment and added she was looking forward to working with Chung again. "It's a celebration because we have known each other for ten years. I hope the concerts' atmosphere can be joyful and high and that everybody jumps."

The duo will perform at Hong Kong Coliseum on April 16-17.
