The news that a 23-year-old TVB actress was raped the day before stunned the online community. The Hong Kong Police Department confirmed that the rape case was indeed filed. To preserve the rape victim’s privacy, Apple Daily did not reveal the actress’ name, dropping only several clues regarding her age and interest in pursuing a music career. As a result, the “witch hunt” for the true rape victim has started!
Only One Man Suspected to Be Rapist
To-date, musician Lee Ming Ho (李銘豪) was the only man rumored to be the rapist who had sexually violated a 23-year-old TVB actresss at VI-MAX Music Studio the day before. Lee admitted that he was currently investigated by the Police Department, but denied that he was the rapist.
Search for Rape Victim Begins
The more the media attempted to shield the identity of the rape victim from the public, the more eager netizens were in finding out who the alleged 23-year-old TVB actress was. Names of actresses in their twenties, such as Mandy Wong (黃智雯) and Cilla Lok (樂瞳) were quickly put on the suspected rape victim list. The women were quick to produce “alibis” proving that they were not near the scene of the crime.
Mandy Wong: “Of Course It’s Not Me!”
Although 29-year-old Mandy Wong was several years older than the 23-year-old rape victim, she did not escape public suspicion. Clearing her own name, Mandy even cited Him Law (羅仲謙) as her eye witness!
Many said, “Of course, it is not me! That night, I was filming with Mother to Mother <巴不得媽媽> with Him Law until the middle of the night. Since I was very tired, I went directly home. Also, I do not know [the alleged rapist] and never went to the music studio!”"
Since the rape victim was an actress at TVB, the company also led an internal cross-examination to clarify matters. Mandy Wong revealed that TVB also met with her regarding the alleged rape case. Many concerned friends also called Mandy regarding the matter.
Cilla Lok: “I Never Joined a Beauty Pageant!”
Twenty-five-year-old Cilla Lok was also widely suspected to be the rape victim. Cilla was quick to draw boundaries to the case. Since the rape victim was cited as joining a beauty pageant in the past, Cilla quickly said, “I never joined a beauty pageant! I will not go to a recording studio to chat with someone in the middle of the night!”
Actresses Said It’s Not Them
Twenty-year-old model, Sarah Chan (陳苑晴) cleared any possibilities that she was the rape victim. Sarah said, “I am not even a TVB artist! Whether the rape incident is true or not, both parties have responsibility. You have to be very careful when visiting a friend of the opposite gender in the middle of the night!”
Former beauty pageant contestants, Sandy Wu (胡中慧), Janey Yan (甄敏婷) and Gemma Choi (蔡慧欣) denied that they knew musician, Lee Ming Ho, who was investigated in the rape case. The women will take extra precaution and choose a safe location to sing in their spare time.

The day before, a 23-year-old TVB actress was raped while drunk. Last night, the Hong Kong Police Department arrested 32-year-old musician, Lee Ming Ho (李銘豪), due to the rape allegations. The rape reportedly took place at Lee Ming Ho’s music studio the day before. The victim was Lee’s long-time friend and discovered that she was being sexually violated after waking up from a drunken stupor.
Rape Victim’s Identity Kept Anonymous
While the identity of the TVB actress was not publicly reported due to privacy reasons, Apple Daily revealed that the 23-year-old had participated in a beauty contest, in which she declared her strong interest in music, especially enjoying singing Mandarin songs. Shortly afterward, she participated in another talent competition and although she was not placed, she signed with TVB and appeared in cameo roles.
The TVB actress maintained a Weibo blog, in which she had posted photos of recording inside a music studio. This year, the TVB actress has appeared in more promotional events, with greater public exposure.
How the Rape Occurred
It was reported that the TVB actress visited her friend of many years, Lee Ming Ho, at the VI-MAX Music Studio in Tsim Sha Tsui the night before. She intended to confide to Lee about her troubled thoughts. She brought a bottle of red wine and the pair chatted on the sofa inside Lee’s music studio. Eventually, the TVB actress fell into a drunken stupor.
At 4 AM, the TVB actress woke up from her drunken state and realized that she was being sexually violated. After a physical shuffle with Lee, she ran out of the music studio distressed. She went home to sleep for a period of time. Regaining her soberness, she told her elder sister what occurred.
Consulting with her family members, the TVB actress decided to file rape allegations at the Hong Kong Police Department. Since she did not take a shower after being sexually violated, a “rape kit” with sample evidence was collected.
Lee Ming Ho Denies Being the Rapist
Lee Ming Ho founded VI-MAX Music Studio in 2004, which recorded music for Hong Kong, Taiwanese, and overseas artists. Artists such as Karen Mok (莫文蔚), Eason Chan (陳奕迅), William So (蘇永康), and Grasshoppers have visited his studio in the past.
Although he acknowledged that he had assisted the police department, Lee Ming Ho denied that he was a rapist. “I did not do it! This incident has a huge impact on my company and I!” Lee continued emotionally, “I do not know why the police came to me. Rape is a serious allegation! If it did occur, the police will lodge a case against me. Why would they release me?”
Lee declined to reveal further details as to what had occurred on the night of the alleged rape, stating that his lawyer will be handling the matter.
It was reported that Lee was released on bail last night, but was required to report to the police department in mid-June.
Oscar Leung Not a Rapist
Coincidentially, rumors of a rape involving a TVB artist have been circulating fiercely online for the last two weeks. Initially, Oscar Leung (梁烈唯) was implicated in a fabricated rape against TVB artist, Kimmy Kwan (關婉珊), on May 4th. However, the TVB artists and the Police department clarified that the initial rumors were false and that no rape allegations were ever filed against Oscar Leung.

The mystery of Kate Tsui’s (徐子珊) love life may finally be solved! On May 14th, Kate was spotted leaving her Residence Bel-Air apartment with hunky eye doctor boyfriend, Marvin Tse (謝偉業). Allegedly, Marvin spent 4 days and 3 nights at Kate’s apartment, while buying Kate her favorite roasted meats!
Discovering the presence of reporters, Kate stalled in the lobby, while Marvin sprinted ahead. The pair escaped being photographed together, while Kate insisted that they were only friends!
In the past, Kate often stated that she was single and interested in men who were in a better financial position that herself. She preferred men who can take care of her. It appeared that 32-year-old Kate Tsui found the answer in 41-year-old, divorced eye doctor, Marvin Tse, who resembled Japanese soccer player, Hidetoshi Nakata. Marvin taught as an Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at the Prince of Wales Hospital in the past. Currently, he owned two eye care clinics in the Central and Mongkok districts, specializing in cataract and orthopedic eye surgery. Marvin planned to open a plastic surgery site in the near-future, soliciting models to advertise for the new clinic via his Facebook account.
Dr. Tse Owed $1 Million in Tax Arrears
Despite his professional success, Marvin Tse was removed from the Medical Council of Hong Kong for two months due to over-promoting himself. He was put on probation for two years. In 2008, Marvin was discovered to owe the Hong Kong Tax department nearly $1 million HKD in tax arrears. Despite the lawsuits, Marvin was considered to be a “diamond bachelor,” often rumored with actresses and models in the entertainment industry.

Last Friday, TVB’s Music Director, Tang Chi Wai (邓智伟) held a concert performance in Hong Kong. Numerous artists, including Bosco Wong (黄宗泽), Leo Ku (古巨基), Raymond Lam (林峰), Ron Ng (吴卓羲), Linda Chung (钟嘉欣), Susanna Kwan (关菊英), Wayne Lai (黎耀祥), Alfred Hui (許廷鏗), Mag Lam (林欣彤), Wong Cho Lam (王祖藍), and Stephanie Cheng (郑融) guest starred in the concert performance. Among the stars, Bosco Wong stunned the crowd with his wicked makeup, effectively stealing the limelight!
Bosco Wong wore grungy eye makeup, reminiscent of gay singer, Anthony Wong’s (黄耀明) recent concert appearance. Possessing a forward fashion taste, Bosco took a bold step with his appearance in an attempt to give fans a surprised treat. Judging by the reaction of online communities, Bosco’s makeup choice may have backfired. Sohu.com referred to Bosco’s appearance as “clown-like.”
The other guest performers decided to play it safe in their fashion choices, appearing in mostly white and black ensembles. Raymond Lam wore a black suit and tie, with his hair neatly combed back. He danced and sang onstage for ten minutes. Perhaps Raymond was saving more risque costumes for his May 12th concert at The Venetian hotel and casino in Macau.
Leo Ku and Wayne Lai dueted on the theme song for TVB drama, No Regrets <義海豪情>. Due to Wayne’s 48th birthday, Leo changed the lyrics slightly to relay the birthday message, bringing a wide smile to Wayne’s face.
Ron Ng sang his classic song, Don’t Blame Her <别怪她> and was out of tune. Apparently, he did not wear a headset and did not realize that he sang off tune.
Michael Miu (苗僑偉), Jamie Chik (戚美珍), and Virginia Lok (樂易玲) sat together while enjoying the concert performance. Leanne Li (李亞男) and Grace Wong (王君馨) also attended the concert to support Wong Cho Lam and Linda Chung’s performances.

Over the next several years, Carol Chu’s name continued to be linked to Andy Lau, as the pair’s financial investments became increasingly intertwined.
